Tips for Applying

Start early.

It may take some time to reflect on the short answers in the application. Life may also sneak up on you--you'll avoid the stress that comes from completing a task last-minute if you start working on the application before the due date.

Try making a timeline for yourself so that you can lean on a plan for completing the application on time. If you'd like support with this, you are welcome to reach out to the team--we are here to help!

Be detailed.

Vague short answer responses can hinder our understanding of who you are, what you bring to the table, and how this program can support you. Try to be specific and detailed with your short answer responses. 200-300 words are suggested for each response, although you are not required to follow this guideline.

Be authentic.

The Empower Collective LLC is about encouraging all participants to be their authentic and true selves. Help us get to know you--your personality, interests, support needs, other characteristics--through your short answers.
